Idillic Yoga Brunch in the Hatherley Park with _livduffin from @yoganicuk and @thebutterfly.box. Such a pleasure to be working with these guys again!
Liv is one of the people I appreciate most when it comes to Yoga, creativity and the ability to always reinvent herself and her business, always moving forward. So when I had the idea to organise a Yoga Brunch, she was the first person I thought of. I’m delighted that she has accepted to join us and host Yoga class included in the Yoga Brunch. Guided by her calm presence, you’ll get your chance to reconnect with yourself and just listen, under the open sky, on the green green grass of Hatherley Park, home to my other partner’s wonderful business, @thebutterfly.box.
In this lovely spot, tucked away under a tree, it’s right next to the children’s playground, you’ll find a blue horsebox and in it a large smile, serving strong coffee, beautiful house teas and fresh juices. Ruby is such a lively human being, she brightens up your day just by talking to you; when she first told me that @thebutterfly.box was happening, I knew that she would smash it 🙂 It’s whatHatherley Park has been missing all along! And she’s the perfect one for it!
So as you can see, I’ve paired up with two forces of nature to offer you a Sunday day out, spent in nature, breathing in and breathing out, remembering the good times you had this summer, despite everything, and tuning in with your body so that you recharge with energy for whatever is out there that needs your presence and attention. Liv will be your guide in this soothing body-mind-spirit experience, she will share with you calming relaxing practices that you can take with you and turn to whenever you feel the need.
Once the Yoga class has finished, a fresh comforting brunch is waiting for you, ready to fill you up with all the goodness you can possibly imagine, all made with healthy natural ingredients. It will be the perfect taste of a Sunday afternoon! It feels so good to be able to congratulate yourself for doing something positive, and when you can do that with guilt-free food, it’s even better!
Yoga in the park, coffee and house teas, delicious brunch, fresh air, fresh body, fresh mind and light soul – sounds like a pretty good formula, just what you need to shake out this past summer, recharge and get going.
- The Tropical bowl – a mango smoothie base topped with homemade granola, chopped fruit, nuts and seeds. This tropical smoothie bowl is so good not only in flavor. It is very nutritious and full of super powers (cacao, chia seeds, chlorella, goji berries, hemp seeds, lucuma, maca, acai berries, and spirulina are considered to be super foods), perfect to get you on your feet without weighing you down.
- Smashed avocado on toast with pomegranate and toasted pumpkin seeds – it doesn’t get better than this creamy sour sweet combination. Topped up with the roasted taste of the seeds, it’s just something else! It’s one of my favourite breakfasts!
- Homemade banana bread with hazelnut Nutella, coconut yogurt, fresh berries and maple syrup – do I need to say more? You’ll feel like you’re in however Heaven feels for you! :)) You’ll absolutely love this one!
- Peanut butter and chickpea blondies – as all the other dishes in the Yoga Brunch menu, these beauties are gluten free, dairy free and vegan, with very little sugar.
YOGANIC – Liv Duffin
Liv is the founder of the wellness brand, Yoganic and will be hosting the yoga session. She also hosts the seasonal yoga event ‘Flow and Feast’, Liv’s mission is to bring communities together across unique wellness experiences through yoga, creativity and whole hearted nourishment.
My name’s Jay Halford and I’m on a mission; a mission to re-educate people into realising how easy it is to make the transition into feeding their body what it so desperately craves.
My background as a chef and in catering has meant that for me, taste always comes first. I believe that you should recognise every ingredient that is used in a recipe; how they are best combined to create the ultimate taste.
Hatherley Park is a charming ornamental park made up of around 3 hectares of parkland which is entirely surrounded by houses. One of Cheltenham’s four Green Flag Award parks, it has held the award since 2007 and has strong support from the Friends of Hatherley Park group
The main feature of Hatherley Park is the lake. Many of our visitors come to feed the ducks and enjoy the tranquility of this popular park.
